Trainer & Educator

Sunčana's national and international training expertise spans: youth work, alternative care, non-formal education, creative techniques, social inclusion, volunteering, and mental health.

She has extensive experience in:

• Training organizations, mentors, volunteers and educators involved in the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ program across several National Agencies, including Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Sweden, Finland, and Belgium.

• Providing training for teachers and school support staff on mental health, behavioral challenges, and teamwork.

• Providing training and mentoring for youth workers engaged in Croatian formal and non-formal youth studies programs.

• Delivering workshops for alternative care professionals on care, leaving care and children’s rights in Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, and Benin.

Sunčana is a licensed supervisor and metasupervisor in psychosocial work. Since 2010, she has supervised more than 80 supervision groups of volunteers and professionals working in civil society organisations, schools, welfare centres, and children’s homes.

She has provided supervision for diverse organisations, including:

• Volunteers, honoraria associates, and employed professionals of civil society organisations (e.g., Association Most, Association Play, Association Brave Phone, Association Ambidekster).

• Teachers and school support staff in cities such as Karlovac and Zagreb.

• Professionals of welfare centres and carers working in alternative care (e.g., managers of welfare centres, carers employed by SOS Children’s Village and Children’s Home Maestral).

• Students and professionals attending the Faculty of Law, Department of Social Work and Specialist Study “Supervision in Psychosocial Work.”
